If you are planning to combine your next trip with your favorite sport, please take note that SATA offers special conditions for carrying sports equipment.

Following an Active Holidays Airline policy, SATA has created conditions for its passengers to combine sports with their vacations by offering an additional baggage allowance of 10 or 15 kilos for surfing, windsurfing, horse riding, diving, canyoning, golf, kayaking, biking, hang gliding or paragliding equipment.

These baggage allowance benefits are available exclusively on flights operated by Azores Airlines and SATA Air Açores, through bookings made in advance. When booking for your flight, indicate the type, weight, and dimensions of the sports equipment you wish to carry and wait for later confirmation.

Please have in mind that your sports equipment must be properly packed, in order to withstand normal loading conditions.
