Miguel and Inês will go down in the history of Azores Airlines for symbolizing the achievement of carrying 1 million passengers in a single year, a mark never achieved before.

Although, as a whole, SATA Group already surpassed the one million passenger mark in joint air operations of its two airlines in August 2022, this achievement had never been accomplished isolated. Flight S4 172, departing from Ponta Delgada to Porto, symbolized this happy moment.

From the hand of Luís Rodrigues, Chairman of the SATA Group, the 1 millionth passenger received a flight certificate and displayed, with humor and a good morning mood, the largest Boarding Pass he had ever held in his hands.
