Extraordinary things happen when we are passionate about what we do and meet other aviation enthusiasts. And that was what has happened at the 6th edition of Portugal Air Summit, which took place from October 12 to 15.

For three days, in the beautiful region of Alto Alentejo, aviation business experts, aspiring aviation employees, and those tremendously passionate about flying machines gathered for the Air Show that took place in the skies of Ponte de Sor.

SATA Azores Airlines was there during the three days of the event.

The team welcomed the public at stand B06, attended the panel discussion on the new generation of aviation professionals, participated in the revivalist Portugal Airshow, where the uniforms in shades of blue from the sky and sea of the Azores were displayed, and moved the audience by landing, for the first time in the history of the Portugal Air Show and Ponte de Sor, the Airbus A320 DREAM on Ponte de Sor Aerodrome runway.

And because all dreans can come true, on the last day of the event, the on-board crew opened the doors of DREAM to visitors, among whom was little Lourenço, who will remember forever his sixth birthday.

With the right to sit in the cockpit and literally experience how much the luggage compartment of an A320 measures, we said goodbye to Lourenço with the conviction that he appreciated not only our gesture, but also with the satisfaction of seeing him leave with a special light in his eyes and a wide smile. Happy birthday Lourenço! There are unforgettable moments like this in life and in aviation!
