Today, an Azores Airlines A320 departed Lisbon and made its first landing in Ponte de Sor, making this year’s edition of the Portugal Air Summit even more special for Grupo SATA, which for over 80 years has been implementing its passion for aviation.
This was also the first time that an aircraft from the manufacturer Airbus, more specifically from the A320 family, landed at Ponte de Sor aerodrome, representing a moment that will be marked, not only in the history of the manufacturer and the airline, but also of the aerodrome, which delighted aviation fans.
The aircraft, which had the prompt assistance of Groundforce, will spend the night at the aerodrome, remaining on display until the next day and giving all aviation fans the opportunity to see our “Dream” up close and visit the inside at specified times.
The A320 was received by several spotters who, since the day before, had been preparing for this special moment: to photograph our airplane which, with the word “Dream” written on its fuselage, makes a beautiful tribute to the dreamlike and unparalleled beauty of the Azores archipelago.
The plane is scheduled to return to Lisbon on October 15, in the afternoon.
