After all, what does Paris have?

Paris has a smell, musicality, and a light that are, in themselves, poetry. Paris is the atmosphere of the streets, is daydreaming by squares, museums, charming cafés, and flower markets, while our mind sings French music from the 1920s.

Paris is not so much what you see, but what you feel when you are in the city, what you sense when you walk, hear and breathe in each of its charismatic neighborhoods or arrondissements.

You can see that to be enchanted by this fascinating city you don’t need a guide for places to visit, but we cannot resist whispering some suggestions.

We like to stroll through the streets of the city, trying to unveil its personality little by little, through details and the sensations that it transmits to us here and there. Come with us.

First, we suggest you visit the artistic and bohemian Montmartre district.

Wander peacefully through the streets of the neighborhood and have a coffee at the Café des Deux Moulin where The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain was filmed, remember?

Pass through the Moulin Rouge and stop at the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur, one of the most important sacred sites in Paris, whose Roman-Byzantine style and immaculate whiteness, seduces visitors from all over the world. Its location on the top of the Montmartre hill, 130 meters above sea level, allows you to enjoy a delightful view over the city of Paris.

Before leaving this attractive neighborhood, head to Place des Abesses, where artist Frédéric Baron recorded, on a 40 square meter panel, the various ways of saying I love you, creating a beautiful tribute to love.

Later in the afternoon, prepare a picnic with cheese, a baguette, and a bottle of good French wine and have the best picnic of your life at Champ de Mars, with the Eiffel Tower in the background. The dusk here is splendid! And the lights of the Eiffel Tower at night are a sight to behold.

If you have the desire to climb the Eiffel Tower and see Paris from above, brighten the moment even further and celebrate it with a toast. There you will find glasses and champagne for sale.

In Paris, you cannot miss a day or two for museums, which are many and magnificent. The Louvre, of course, is mandatory. With a collection of hundreds of thousands of works of art, from ancient Egyptian relics to modern paintings like Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, it is the most famous museum in the world.

We also recommend the Musée d’Orsay, located in an old train station and where you can admire magnificent works by Gauguin, Monet, Manet, Degas, Renoir, Cézanne, and Van Gogh.

We could suggest a lot more to do in Paris, for which we would have to write entire books, but we will leave you one last tip: take a boat trip on the River Seine and, if you are with your better half, take the opportunity to do it at night, including dinner and music. Knowing some of the main attractions of Paris from this perspective is a delightful experience that will accompany you forever.
