The SATA Group is involved in air transport, airfield management, and ground-handling services for all airlines landing on Azorean soil since 1941. It now presents a contemporary and functional structure adapted to the challenges of an extremely demanding and competitive sector.
Its fleet is divided between its two airlines. SATA Air Açores flies 37-seat Bombardier Q200 and 80-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft, while Azores Airlines flies 165-seat A320-200, 186-seat A321neo, and 200-seat A321neo LR aircraft, operating flights to mainland Portugal and islands, Europe, Cape Verde, the United States, and Canada, with a combined network of flights of codeshare and interline flights.
IATA members, SATA Group’s Airlines, SATA Gestão de Aeródromos, as well as its Maintenance and Engineering and Handling businesses, have seen their teams’ merit and professionalism rewarded with the sector’s most distinguished certifications.
