Toronto

Considered as one of the best places to live in the world, for the security of its streets and quality of life, Toronto is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in America. Multilayered and multicultural, it offers countless attractions to the thousands of tourists who visit every year looking for culture, a lively nightlife, a unique cuisine and shopping rounds filled with possibilities.

Don’t miss in Toronto

CN Tower

From its 553 meters, the CN Tower, one of the highest buildings in the world, provides a magnificent view of several Toronto angles. It’s the main attraction in the city, receiving 2 million visitors per year. The upward travel in a panoramic lift with a sheer floor is a magnificent experience. On the top of the tower, you can find a restaurant where you can take a meal while viewing the wonderful urban landscape.

Niagara

About 90 minutes from Toronto you can find the famous Niagara Falls which you can contemplate by foot or by boat. The Maid of the Mist boat takes you really close to the American falls in only half an hour.

During Summer, the falls are lit up by floodlights at night providing a surreal natural landscape to its visitors.

Shopping

Eaton Shopping Center

On the financial heart of the city, you can find a shopping center with more than 250 stores which is an architectural icon, at the same time.

Its 4 floors, the glass dome, and the 4 giant Canadian movable geese, set and projected on the top of the shopping center, fascinate everyone who passes by.

If you prefer shopping in unconventional stores, you can find specialized stores in Toronto for practically everything. We highlight:

Discover Records: It’s one of the most famous vinyl and CD store in Toronto with varied items and a charismatic interior design that provides a real journey through time.

The Cook Book Store: It’s a library and coffee shop with personalized service and qualified items where you can have a tea, a light meal, a coffee or a drink among classics of world literature.

Bloor Street: In this busy street, which gathers a great number of enterprises and department stores, people of various cultures pass by, showing the big cultural mix existing in Toronto.

York Ville: It’s one of the most exclusive shopping places in Toronto, famous for its variety and quality.

Cuisine

As everything in Toronto, the cuisine is quite rich and varied once its inspiration comes from the four corners of the world. From hot dog stands – considered as one of the best for the variety of ingredients – to the most luxurious restaurants. Among Asian, Indian and Italian restaurants, you can also find Portuguese restaurants of excellent quality.

St. Lawrence Market

With an impressive structure, this market is a true paradise for food lovers. Here you can find products of the best quality in a real festival of colors, smells, sounds and tastes provided by the combination of fruits, flowers, vegetables, meat, cheese and almost anything you can imagine. Enjoy a relaxed meal or taste the flavorful sweets.

For free

It’s possible to access Toronto’s entertainment and cultural diversity without spending any money. Many of the city’s main spots are free: the St. Lawrence Market, Chinatown and Lake Ontario are some of the town’s hot spots, and are totally free.

Toronto’s Chinatown is the second largest in North America and, as in every Chinatown, you will find a world of exotic products and hundreds of Asian food restaurants.

With a primarily modern architecture and a sky full of large skyscrapers, Toronto presents several spots of interest with an architecture based on the Gothic style or on the Art Déco. Walking through this marvelous city is an excellent way of knowing it.

Built in 1900, the Loma House, with 98 rooms, resembles a European castle contrasting with the futuristic and glassy architecture of Toronto. This “museum palace” exhibits works of art from all over the world.
